22nd Meeting of SKAL International Baku

On October 26, 2018, the 22nd Meeting of SKAL International Baku Association of Tourism Professionals was held at Sumqayit Plaza Hotel. SKAL Baku club members, media representatives, and special guests attended the event. SKAL Baku club president Mr. Jeyhun Ashurov officially welcomed the attendees and gave the speech to the Honorary president of the Skal Baku club, President of the Global Health Tourism Organization, Ruslan Guliyev. He also spoke about the support of the Association for tourism in his speech. Young Skal Leader Tahir Mammadov gave detailed information about the benefits of membership for the SKAL International Association and its activities.

Honorable guests of the event were Deputy of Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mirzajan Khalilov, Pro-rector of Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management Anar Eminov, President of the National NGO Form Rauf Zeyni, Vice president of The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AEC) Vugar Zeynalov and Executive Power Representative of Sumgayit City . In the end, the official representative of the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency Kenan Gasimov talked about the strategic activities of the Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau and answered questions of the audience.

It should be noted that the event was also the first meeting of Skal Baku club outside the capital. The purpose was to attract attention not only to the capital city Baku but also to other regions. At the event, tourism potential of Sumgayit and opportunities for tourists were discussed.

In the end, Chairman of the Skal Baku club, Jeyhun Ashurov, expressed attitude to Sumgayit Hotel Management for supporting the event and presented new membership cards and certificates to the new Skal members. In the informal part of the event, guests were invited to dinner.
